My husband and I are looking to buy an apartment in NYC using a real estate broker. However, I don't know if we pick one broker and he helps us through everything and is our liason with all the other real estate agencies or we pick one broker from each agency. Any advice would greatly be appreciated!!

it is very simple the you pay the service charges to the agent who shows the property which you are going to finalise on .
if you are not liking the places the agent has shown then you will go to the other agent or agents who will show few other properties .

an important thing to considered when buying in NYC city is a few things first what is the maintenance charges for the building sometimes the monthly maintenance fee can be as high as your mortgage payment, also read the by laws of the apartment very carefully
NYC city has alot of co-op buildings if you are looking at those remember the board must approve you before you can buy
and as always in NYC bring lots of monies probably looking at the min 500K for a small small two bedroom

First I would say make sure you work with an expert in your area plus a broker/agent that focuses on investment properties. Also make sure he/she understand multi-family investment and knows the market.
