Equine Jobs

If you aren't going to be able to commit to the job full time, I'm going to tell you the truth that you probably won't make much money as an agent. Most full time real estate agents don't make $50-$60K a year, let alone part time. And I say most, because it's sales and with any sales there are always slackers. Ever hear the saying that 80% of the real estate transactions are done by 20% of the agents? IT'S TRUE!! It's a very tight market, and there are way more "buyers agents" than listing agents. Sometimes it seems like there are more buyers agents then there are buyers!! If you need a steady flow of income, then don't go into a straight commission job. You will be stressed out, and end up hating it. Real Estate is awesome!! But again, you have to do it full time if you truly want to be successful. The first time you cash a check for $8000 TAKE HOME, you'll be addicted. What I would suggest is trying to find a Real Estate company that has full support, is going to give you leads, and you will make a ton of money if you WORK full time. If you work hard, and treat people right, you WILL be successful. As a Mortgage Broker I find it very difficult to place a buyer with an agent, as it seems a lot of them are very mean and VERY lazy. (the same can be said about a lot of Mortgage Brokers as well!!). Don't go somewhere that is going to be 100% referral business if you are just starting out. It takes a long time to build your book of business, and your "power team". Try working for one of the bigger companies such as RE/Max that is going to train you, and give you support. When you first start off, you can expect to go 3-4 months and not close anything if you are not getting any leads. If you are a good sales person, and you are getting leads, you can start making money right away.

I will not work with a part time agent. They freak out, they never know what they're doing, and they always want to tell everyone what they know. Please don't get ****** into that. They give the good agents a bad name.

Real Estate For Sale

I am an onsite property manager. Another benefit to those listed above, is that some property manager jobs, like mine, also offer a "free" apartment. Some only offer a free apartment in exchange for part-time duties, and others offer a full salary and benefits....and the "free" apartment.

This may come in handy in your situation.

Good luck to you.

Property Management. You can work for a real estate office that has a property management department and get paid a set wage.

Property management is a good job...many times it is salary plus commission so a little more steady income. Plus the rental market is picking up.

Bradenton Florida Real Estate

Your license entitles you to also work as a leasing agent, You can work for an apartment complex and receive a salary. Your responsibilty will be to show the apartments and do all the necessary paperwork to rent them out. As well you license can be used to be a property manager. This is when you are responsible for apartment complexes. You collect rent, maintain the property, report to the owner, etc. Hope I helped.

Sale by Owner

Lyndsey, Go through with it and dabble for a year or 2. Most of my agents are part timers and have other full time jobs. Some of them make an extra 50,000 to 60,000 a year just doing a few deals a year. It's also a good way to learn the business without the pressure of HAVING to make it work. Enjoy it! It can be a very fun career!

Loan officer or mortgage broker.

Real Estate sales are a very hard business. 90 percent of people that pass the test fail as agents.

Good Luck
