Mr. Bambam asked:
I have been reading a lot of books on real estate investment and stocks. I want to start investing. At the moment I’m short on capital however I would like to receive training (mentoring) on investing in the meanwhile. I learn good by reading but I learn excellently when someone is showing and explaining thing to me.

I think right now is an excellent time to get started in Real Estate, my husband and I have been actively investing in Real Estate for over 12 years, we went full time back when he was laid off from his Corporate IT position in 2000. We had been investing in Real Estate part time up until that point and that pushed to succeed full time.
We have spent thousands of dollars on our Real Estate Investing education over the years and have determined the two, we think, most important things, that is never stop learning and be willing to change with the times.
You mention that you are short on cash, and so I offer you one solution and that would be check out
This is a Real Estate investor that was faced with your same issue…….cash, and put together a program for learning how to get Private Money Lenders. He offers many different ways to get his information, we attended his boot camp over a year ago and it was well worth the money we spent as the mortgage money market is getting harder.
Right now the mortgage market is tightening up and that affects us Real Estate Investors greatly, but access to Private Money gets around that.
We have over the years used Hard Money Lenders, Private Lenders, and Conventional Lending; by far Private Lending is the easiest way to go. However, in recent years conventional money was so easy to get, that there was not the need for Hard Money or Private Money, but that is changing.
I am getting ready to start a blog about our Life as Real Estate Investors, and talk about some of the trials and success that we have had over the years, to maybe help others in their endeavor of Real Estate Investing. If you would like send me an email at with your email and I will send you a link to our blog when I get it up and running, I will not spam you otherwise, just a link to our blog when it is up and going.
As far as mentoring and training, I would check out TacticalRealEstate.com, which is run by Todd Dodson, we are a part of his mastermind group and find it an excellent tool. Like I said it is very important to continue learning. TacticalRealEstate offers a VERY tactical approach to teaching Real Estate Investment, out of all the training we have done over the years, we have stuck with TacticalRealEstate, because Todd Dodson offers the nuts and bolts, and real tools, not the theory approach to teaching Real Estate Investing. If you check him out and end up at one of his boot camps, you won’t regret it, however, I would very much appreciate it if you mention my web site ibuypugetsound.com because he does offers a referral program. I don’t mention Todd for the referral, but for the real information he provides, rather then some others that just give you ideas and leave it to you to figure out how to implement the ideas, Todd gives you the step by step program to put into action what he teaches.
Tactical Real Estate also offers at your location mentoring and a once a week deal maker call, where you can call in and ask questions about what you are working on, or listen to what others are doing.
Join your local Real Estate Investing Club, it is important to get connected with others.
I hope some of this has helped. We love what we do, and really enjoy all the people we meet in the process; it is a great field to be involved in. Just be careful where you put your money, because you can really spend a lot on pie in the sky promises. The people I have mentioned above, we have actually used and continue to use or refer back to, unlike the thousands of dollars we have spent and wasted on others that do not give you the tools but just the pie in the sky ideas with out the meat to back it up. I know we have spent a lot of good money and wasted a lot of good money as well. . I don’t like to bad mouth people, therefore I will not pass those on. I only pass on the well spent options we took.
Good Luck
