There are a great many programs available for real estate.

Do you mean as computer aided design, as for laying out subdivisions? Or perhaps something like an interal office uses to maintain a database of available properties with all important data and a separate client database.

In the second case, I would use Excel. Idx is quite popular in the states, as is realty dot com

I’m dont know much about IT. but software for sure will much help in real estate. for example trying to make simulation of the house/building before it’s build so we have a picture of what we are going to do. before there is computer, we use many paper to draw it, although now still using but it’s much less.
So, some advantage point using computer especially real estate software :
- less paper
- 3D design
- adjust and revised more fast and easy
- more colorful..
guess there is many more advantage…

That all depends on how much customers you have, what is your expected growth rate and desired growth rate. if you have less than 5 customer order per month then no need of computers. If you have more than 5 customers and you are talking to about 100 new customers per month then surely computer can help you.

1) Maintain customer relation management, ie have contact with them track them, give them new offers. I mean all people you have talked to in relation with a realestate proposal.
2)Maintain a record of realestate locations and competitors
3)planning how you can win more customers
4)keep visual records of apartments and plots and offer the customers to show them before they go into the real location to see the place., It is helpfull in customer education.
5)If you have a web site it will be usefull for you to sell your properties through the internet and get new customers.
using computers you can dcrease the man power utilisation be more effective
