No salary, agents earn commission only. Usually it comes out to 1.5% of the sales price.
The average agent sells one property a year. Most never sell any, the top few sell several a week. There is no way to determine, for us, where you will fall in that game. A great deal depends on who you know, if you know people with money, who will trust you to help them spend it.

Some brokers take half of the commission. So offices you pay a monthly fee to have a deck in their office. So if you are looking to get in the business it is best to talk with a lot of different companies to see what will work for you. You might want to join a team in an office that will help you get started. If you no nothing about real estate you might think about going with an office that will teach you the ins and outs about real estate. It is more then just passing the test. If you are looking for instant money it is not in real estate. You have to build your business. Think about who you know and who might buy or sell a home through you. Trust is a big issue. People want to know that you know what you are doing. It is their biggest investment that they will make.
