Dfirefox asked:
Can you make more money as an independant broker,or start with a real estate company and work your way up ? Is there a licensed state exam in Colorado? ..I know in New York State there is,but I am not sure about Colorado. How much money can you make as an real estate agent in Colorado or anywhere for that matter. Any brokers/agents out there want to share their worldly wisdom?

There is a web site called
it lists all the requirements to obtain a Realtors licence in Colorado You must get a brokers licence to work as a broker and you must have your Realtors licence first. As for income of either of them you can make millions or you can earn minimum wage. It is a commission job and the harder you work the more chance you have of succeeding. As someone starting out you should work with a company they will be able to give you leads for sales. and people contact the companies when deciding to sell or buy a home.

Real estate is tough but very rewarding!
95% of all people that get into it in the 1st year fail!
Usually it is from bad or worst – no advice on how to become successfull.
Find a successfull agent and get thier advice.
Most agents only sell 5 homes per year – I think the average is under $40k. But successfull agents make a six figure income.
