I cant seem to decide between all the real estate companies. Is there one that somebody would recommend? Shorewest, Century 21, First Weber, etc. ?

Offhand I would just say one of the biggest companies. One who has a nice clean presentable office. A Sales team who works efficiently, who is kind. With a bigger team, you will learn through more people, vs fewer members. You will make more ‘friend’ associates and will gain a better perspective as a Realtor. There is a lot to learn. Some people are willing to share, and others are not. The more people you know the better =]

it really depends on your experience if you are a new agent they you need an office that offers the best training c-21 is a good one for that, if you are a seasoned agent you want the office that is going to net you the best commision split or even a 100% office

If you are new to real estate, I would go with a reputable firm that has good name recognition in your area. You will also want a company that offers training and support. Splits are going to vary from place to place. Some companies offer a ‘cap’ where you won’t pay in more than a certain amount during a year, because you have ‘capped’ out. When you drive through your area, what company’s signs do you see. Where I am at Re/Max owns the market, but they would not be the best company for a rookie agent, in my opinion. Good luck and welcome to the crazy world of real estate.

It completely depends on what you need from your company. As a Realtor you are essentially self-employed, but the company that you represent should be one that provides you something in return besides shared liability. If you are just starting out you need to find the one that provides the best training. If you are more experienced I suggest seeking out the best split or perhaps the company that is best connected to revenue sources like builders and relocation companies. The size of the company should be your least concern.
