and how much do you make? I plan on doing it part time, so I wanted some income. By the Way I'm in south florida, a boomtown for real estate until interest rates went rising.

Someone at my office does that as a side job, and obviously she doesn’t make that much if she needs to work another job…and she lives by herself, so how much does she need? AND it’s not like she’s a bad agent, I know she’s good at what she does. I’d say you should ask Florida agents, as the market is different in different places.

The market is different in every area so how much I make wouldn’t matter.
I’ve been an agent in the Pocono Mountains for 2 yrs. It takes a lot of work and patience to get going. I’ve had to pay so many fees (MLS, Realtor dues, not to mention everyday business needs).
My goal was to make it 2 yrs (this business has the highest drop out #s in the first 2 yrs.) and then see what happens. I’m going to stick w/ it b/c I’m doing good now.
I couldn’t imagine doing it part time. I know a couple agents that do and they spend every evening until 10 or 11 working, then up for their other job in the am. No family or social life.
Full time is the way to do it. Just have some cash reserved to live for about 6 months.
