It depends on the person and where you live. Outgoing people generally do better at real estate. You have to be prepared to work it and put in a lot of hours if you want to make money. The fees associated with being a Realtor are: cost of the classes and the license fee, fees to join the local board of Realtors and yearly renewal fees, fees to belong to the MLS and yearly renewal fees, yearly classes that are necessary for renewing your license, and a yearly license fee. Also, she will have to split commission with her broker or pay a monthly fee to the broker depending on which company she joins. I have tried real estate twice, both times just part time and it didn’t work for me. Other people make life long careers of it. So, it’s up to the person whether it’s worth it or not.

Some people think that being a real estate agent is one of the best positions in the entire world. Each person have to determine the worth and value of a position they are seeking.
One person might think that being in real estate is a great idea and some will think it is the worst position in the world.
So my telling you or someone else how much I enjoy being a real estate agent would not be what make you happy.
Do you like working each and every weekend? Do you like working late at night? Do you like making cold calls seeking clients? Do you like having people getting in and out of your car? Do you like people and consider yourself a people person?

After getting your state require license do you have sufficient funds to start your business with a real estate broker. You would need to pay desk fee, telephone fee, Multiple Listing Service fee (MLS), advertising money. These fees and cost vary with each office so it would not be fair to me to give you the fees charged in my state and you reside in another where the fees could be higher or perhaps lower. You must also pay for continuing education once you have your license.
You must pay this all prior to earning your first commission.
The most important question is do you want to work for yourself and have the means to support yourself for several months months or so while you earn your first commission check?
Based on the above and other factors you must make a decision as to if this is a career field you chose to train for and be in. No one can make this decision for you.
I hope this has been of some benefit to you, good luck.
